Autumn set up for Ionad Cultúrtha

BAILE Mhúirne's Ionad Cultúrtha is to kick off it's Autumn programme in style as the Muskerry village will be visited by award-winning trad musicians.

Join Liam O'Connor, Caoimhín Ó Fearghail and Noel Hill - all TG4 Gradam Ceoil winners -are to put some lesser known tunes through their paces while revisiting some old favourites at the Ionad Cultúrtha on Saturday 14th Septamber at 8:30pm.

Spanning three generations, O'Connor (fiddle, viola), Ó Fearghail (uilleann pipes, flute, guitar, vocals) and Hill (concertina) are united by a deep knowledge and love for the music of the legendary masters of Irish tradition.

For this concert, as part of their first tour together, the three soloists are sure to delight trad fans with their fresh, vibrant take on the classic Irish traditional music repertoire, as well as digging deep into the vaults to unearth some lesser-known melodies from manuscript sources.

This concert is promoted by Music Network and Ionad Cultúrtha. Music Network tours provide opportunities to see some of the world's foremost musicians at affordable prices in venues around Ireland, and are presented in association with RTÉ lyric fm and the Arts Council.
