THE BIG Wicklow second row was honest in his opinion on proceedings.
"I think we paid for the slow start, we let them get a foot hold and it was too much to get back.
"We were well on top in the scrums but didn't defend our blindside very well and we gave them some easy scores, their persistent infringements there near the end didn't help either, but they were the better team on the day.
"I'd say we're a better team but they played for longer periods of the game," he added.
"Our scrum was our most potent weapon and when they went uncontested at the end for so many lads in the bin it stopped us building, but the best of luck to them in the cup now and I hope they do well" finished the number five.
