THE TULLOW TANK made a welcome return to the rugby scene at the weekend after a double hip operation earlier in the year.
Sean O'Brien once again filled a Leinster jersey with a big number 8 on the back and looked like he hadn't been out for any period of time at all.
"I played more minutes than I was supposed to and I think that's positive, it felt good getting back out there and I was happy with how I was moving and it was good to be back in general"
Having recently took to the stage at Tullow rugby clubs Strictly Come Dancing Sean danced at the end of the night to a crowd who watched in awe. The fancy footwork hasn't helped his rugby though: "Ah not really, rugby and dancing are very different let me tell you, I enjoyed the dancing alright but I'd probably prefer to be in the middle of a ruck to be honest"
Thoughts were then turned to the six nations next spring where Sean hopes to play a prominent role but the versatile back row says there's the sux nations is a while away yet:
"Well we've a couple of big Heineken cup games to get out if the way first but I'm looking forward to them, they'll be really tough tests and a few wins would set us up nicely" said Sean
