WHEN asked what the difference between the 2008 final and this going into this year's final will be the Fenagh man put it simply.
"Well I suppose we have the experience of 2008 so we're not coming into it virgins, we've a stronger squad as well, we used the bench to great effect today and we have done all season and I think that's standing to us" opened the delighted captain.
Several of the Tullow men thought their start made the difference and Murphy was no different.
"Well today for the first time in a long time we started well, you could feel it in the warm up, the attitude was there even talking to the lads inside in the dressing room.
"We were up for it and we knew it was going to be our day, we'd been here last year and used it as a learning curve"
You couldn't help but take note of the size of the Ashbourne squad, in particular their number 8 Jeff Mahon had legs the size of entire men but Murphy reckoned the Ashbourne size worked in Tullows favour.
"Well I suppose like a red rag to a bull the bigger they are the harder they fall, and the bigger you are the harder it is to run too," smiled the big second row.
