Young man injured in traffic accident
A 22-year-old man was said to have been 'seriously injured' following a serious road traffic collision on the Bagenalstown to Borris Road on Saturday night. The single vehicle collision took place at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Saturday night when the car left the road at Kilcummey.

Evacuation at St Luke's Hospital
