Setanta GAA club held it second AGM on Friday last in Teach Dolmain Carlow. A good attendance heard positive news about the years activities. Mary Bates gave a very detailed review of the years affairs while Eamonn Long gave details about the years financial situation.
A healthy bank balance was given thanks to the Finance Committee and its fund raising work. Thanks were expressed to Willie Rath and Rath's Londis for their continued sponsorship and Jason Farrell of JF Sports.
A new committee was elected to oversee the club for 2013. The officers elected were, Chairman Pat Ahern, Vice Chairman, Noel O'Neill. Secretary, Mary Bates. Treasurer, Eamonn Long. 2013 Calendar: The first ever full colour Clonmore GFC calendar is now available for €10 from Supervalu, Kennedy Chemist and Daybreak Filling Station, Hacketstown. The calendar has great photos of every team from Under6s to Intermediates and also includes the Girls team, Ladies Boot Camp, and a nice selection of photos from the past.
The calendar is an ideal Christmas present as a stocking filler or to send to family and friends at home and abroad. Get yours early to avoid disappointment. All proceeds go to Clonmore GFC Juvenile Club.

Date for your diary: The 2012 Awards Night will be held on Saturday 15 December in Boland's Lounge, Hacketstown, in conjunction with the Juvenile Club's annual fundraising event.
There was a large attendance at the 124th A.G.M. of Tinryland G.F.C. held in the clubhouse on Monday 26th November. Outgoing chairman Peenie Whelan reflected on another busy year with a lot of progress being made despite very little silverware being won.
The chairman highlighted the club lotto which was launched in December 2011 as being a success and he thanked all the volunteers who had kept the club going throughout 2012.
Secretary Michael Doran in his detailed report stated that 2012 had been disappointing from a football point of view with the senior team exiting the championship at the quarter final stage having been in a Co. final in 2011.
The secretary paid tribute to the field committee led by chairman Ned Deane for their work in maintaining the clubs two pitches to a very high standard. He also thanked club treasurer James Dempsey for his efficiency in keeping the financial affairs of the club in order.
The secretary thanked Tinryland's supporters who assist the club both vocally and financially. Tinryland G.F.C. will be 125 years old in 2013 and a number of events are planned to mark the occassion The following were elected: President: Michael Whelan.
