EDWARD COADY, the Mount Leinster Ranger had his first start of the year and was one of the select two players allowed to speak to the media by Kevin Ryan.
One a beautiful day in Carlow the wing back was delighted.
"Great to be involved, when I heard I was starting I was delighted now, happy hunting!"
With 2-21 on the scoreboard the Carlow sharp shooters have been on fire and it's a welcome part of the play says the defender.
"Yeah thank God we seem to have a slight bit of a plus when it comes to scoring.
We'd have certain targets to reach and we would always want to be attack minded, scores win games and we've been racking them up fairly well this year so please God it keeps up," smiled the tall defender.
It wasn't all smiles though as when it was suggested that the Wicklow game would be a non contest and the league final a formality he was quick to shut the door to complacency.
"Ah hold on now take a couple of steps back there, the next game is Wicklow and it'll probably be in Arklow and Kevin will be keen to try out a few lads so that'll upset the team a little bit but it's up to the guys who come in to make a name for themselves, we're not looking past next week, we want to finish on top and unbeaten" insisted the Ranger.
