Red card, yellow card or just a free? THE Clonmore goalkeeper himself wasn't the talking point, but his actions were. With minutes to go the keeper lunged wildly at a St.Andrews forward who had an open goal at his disposal.

The laws of G.A.A say that for a trip with the foot the punishment is a yellow card.

There were calls in the stand for a red card but the fact that the player had a certain score on does not warrant a red card like in soccer.

However, the referee could have dismissed the player perhaps for dangerous play, but it's one of those rules, often confused between the codes.
