Rory to play for Ireland at Euro championships

Carlow Squash: Rory Byrne's improved results this season bore fruit this week when Irish Squash announced that he had been selected for the upcoming European Squash Championships which take place in Nuremburg, Germany from May 1st - May 6th.

Rory will be joined on the Irish team with another Carlow man Arthur Gaskin.

Both these lads have been playing squash from a very young age and have represented Ireland many times at junior level but this is the first time together at senior level. The team is Arthur Gaskin (Carlow), Rory Byrne (Calrow), Graham Stewart (Belfast), Derek Ryan and Nigel Peyton (Dublin)

The Ladies Team selected is Madeline Perry (Belfast), Aisling Blake (Sligo), Laura Mylotte (Galway) and Tanya Owens (Belfast).
