Bloodless win for Rossiter and Ryan

CARLOW players John Rossiter and Andy Ryan brought a second All-ireland title to Carlow in the last week when they had a bloodless victory over Roscommon in the DMAD final.
Unfortunately for one of the Roscommon players he suffered a serious injury and they had to concede the match to Carlow.
The Garryhill pair had played some fanatstic handball in the Leinster final and in the All-ireland semi-final they totally outplayed their Tipperary opponents to reach the final where they were hot favourites to bring back the title to Carlow.
Meanwhile in the county championships Aaron Geoghegan and Kevin Barrett (T) defeated Thomas Donohue and Jim O'leary (G) in the Junior doubles final. The Tinryland lads proved too strong in the third game and won 21-15 1421 21-4.
The under-12 B and the under-12 A juveniles championships have reached the final stages after some close games during the week. In the under-12 B. Sinead Hayden dft Jack Murphy 15-10 15-14, Brian Mcgrath defeated Jamie Ryan 15-11 15-8, in the semi-finals Hayden defeated Evan Mcguire 15-8 15-6 and in the other semi-final Sean Cummins defeated Mcgrath 15-6 15-7.
In the under-12a Cormac O'brien defeated Sean Cummins 15-5 15-13, semi-finals Eoin Hosey defeated Sinead Hayden 15-6 15-5, Dinny Farrell defeated Cormac O'brien 15-4 15-7.
