THE Carlow Minor hurlers retained their league title on Saturday with a hard fought win over Antrim which finished 1-15 to 1-13.

The Centre of Excellence hosted the league final and it took a spirited second half performance from Carlow to seal the result.

The home side trailed by 0-11 to 0-6 at half time but a Shane O'Neill goal midway through the second half set up a thrilling finish and saw Carlow over the line.

The side are managed by John McDonald with Nicky Roberts and Mick Redmond as selectors. All three men have been involved with this team all the way up from the under-14 development squads. All hurling clubs in the county are represented in the squad.
