THERE WAS fantastic news last week for Carlow GAA when three schools in the county lifted Leinster titles in finals across the province.
In what was a wonderful week for the three schools - Borris Vocational School, Gaelcholaiste Cheatharlach and Presentation De la Salle Bagenalstown - who clinched two football titles and one hurling.
In the Leinster Post Primary Schools Junior Hurling 'B' final Borris were 1-15 to 0-3 winners over Ardscoil Ris in St Conleth's GAA grounds in Newbridge.
In the South Leinster Post Primary Schools Junior Football 'D' final Gaelcholaiste Ceatharlach defeated St. Paul's Monasterevin 3-8 to 1-12
Last but not least in the South Leinster Post Primary Schools Juvenile Football 'C' Final Presentation De La Salle Bagenalstown beat Mountrath 3-11 to 1-6.
In the case of the Borris team this is the end of the road for them in this particular competition as the Leinster final is the last stop in Junior hurling.
The Borris lads were treated to a meall at the Talbot Hotel on the way home and great celebrations were had by one and all.
