THE CARLOW boss spoke about the panel at large, and answered the questions which were rife in Dr. Cullen Park.

"Look, we have loads of new players and anybody that steps up to the mark and who has the intensity and is playing well in training is going to be in my starting 15. We've a panel of 35 players we've a good few injuries, we only had three or four subs today, so there's going to be competition for places and that's a good sign" said the former Lilywhite.

The Kildare man did say that some of the absentees were going to seriously help the potential this Carlow team has:

"Serious potential in this panel, when you see the players that we have, Brendan and Brian Murphy, Ray Walker, look at Shane Mernagh, he's stepped up to the plate the last few weeks, Benny Kavanagh is one of the best defenders in Leinster, he's a fine footballer, we've also got Barry-John who's good and tight and Daniel St. Ledger could make any team in Leinster," finished Rainbow.
