Global tyre makers Michelin have acknowledged Tullow farmer Kevin Nolan for his forward thinking in opting for their AxioBib tyres.

The new tyres from Michelin are to the fore when it comes to farming technology and Kevin has been among the first to specify them on his new Fendt 828 tractor.

Kevin owns Nolan Farming in Grangeford and farms over 1,000 acres of land locally. He said opting for Michelin's latest tyres made the most sense for him as their Ultraflex technology allows them to operate at lower pressures compared to conventional tyres. This results in better traction on both dry and wet soil with less soil compaction.

'We have already found the AxioBib significantly reduces soil compaction and rut depth during ploughing and are versatile enough to go straight from the field to the road,' said Kevin who was delighted to endorse Michelin's latest product.
