TEENAGERS in Tullow have a new place to hang out and have fun.
A new club has been established in the area to provide local teenagers aged 15 years and over.
The No Name Club is national voluntary organisation that has almost 50 clubs operating in communities throughout Ireland, including Carlow town, and its activities reach a huge amount of people each year through its young members and the adult volunteers who support them.
' The teenage members play a key role in the running of the club and Tullow teenagers, as with those in other clubs, will develop their leadership, communication, self-development, and decision-making skills during their time with the club,' said No Name communications officer Conor Cullen.
Tullow No Name Club will meet at The Mill on Mill Street each week. It will also participate in national events which the No Name Club holds on an annual basis, including its National Youth Awards and 'Supertalent' competition.
' This is a club that will offer the young people in Tullow excellent opportunities to participate in fun activities and provide them with a very valuable social outlet,' he added.
