CARLOW and Kilkenny T.D., Ann Phelan, outlined that the decision to hold the Children's Referendum on a Saturday means that the maximum number of citizens can vote.
'The decision by the Minister for Children to hold the Referendum on Saturday, November 10, is a welcome one. It will facilitate students and those who work midweek. I am hopeful that it will result in a good turn out on the day and will create a frontrunner for Saturday voting into the future,' she said.
