A CARLOW town man who obstructed a police office was ordered to complete 120 hours community service. Before Judge Sheridan at Carlow District Court was Kevin Doyle, of 60 New Oak Estate, Carlow, who pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty at Tullow St., Carlow, on September 18, 2011.
Defence Solicitor, Joe Farrell told the court, that the matter had been put back by Judge Anderson to see if the defendant would be suitable for community service. He had ordered 120 hours community service if found suitable.
Mr. Farrell said the probation and Welfare report before the court showed that he is a suitable candidate. Judge Sheridan said he would make the order for 120 hours community service.
