CARLOW'S Kathryn Thomas will be in town this week to host a style night in aid of two charities.
The Operation Transformation presenter returns home for the Sleek n Style night in the Seven Oaks Hotel on Friday, February 1, for the National Council for the Blind and Respect.
'It's always great to get home to Carlow, but it's especially great to be coming home to host a fantastic fundraiser for two worthy charities, close to my heart,' she said.
Kathryn's grandmother Joyce worked for many years fundraising for the Carlow branch of the National Council for the Blind.
Kathryn herself helps to fundraise for Respect, a charity that helps people with intellectual disabilities to live independently.
Many local businesses have lent their support to the night, which kicks off at 7.30 p. m sharp.
Guests will be treated to a choice of beauty treatments including mini-massages, nail treatments, eye make-up, hair-styling consultations and even advice on finding the right fitting bra.

Entertainment will be provided by Clara Hutchinson, Karyn Yates Dance School, magician John Gerard, local caricature artist Hughie Glynn and some Ali Babas looking for Arabian treasure.
Tickets are just €15 which includes a welcome drink, entry to the door-prize draw and light refreshments, which will be served later in the night.
