HOME BAKING, homemade soup, chopping boards and personalised cupcakes all added to the mix at the New Oak Community Centre Christmas fair. As always the coffee dock and the home baking section were big hits on the day along with chairwoman of the centre, Sharon Parker Byrne's homemade soup.
Transition year student Sean Crowley from Oaklawns created some heavy duty wooden chopping boards which proved to be a big favourite among shoppers.
' We had his brother here a few years ago and he made really nice mirrors, they are really talented. Their father is a woodwork teacher,' said Sharon Parker Byrne.
The sale, which ran throughout Saturday, included also crochet and knitwear from Sadie's Home Creations, gifts and decorations and personalised cupcakes from Cupalicious.
'It was a great day,' she added. 'It was really well supported and the stall holders were all very happy with the turnout.'
