Bikers 'rev it up' to raise €1,200 for Holy Angels Day Care Centre

IT WASN'T Hells Angels but Holy Angels who benefitted from a motorcycle run that made its way around Carlow town.

More than 220 motorbike enthusiasts took to the roads to raise funds for Holy Angels Day Care Centre in Carlow and St Patricks Special School in Kilkenny.

The bikes set out from Toughers Restaurant in Naas and the convey made its way to Carlow town where they stopped off for a break at Abrakebabra. From here then went on to St. Patrick's Special School in Kilkenny.

he fundraiser was organised by the Druid Motorcycle crew and the Rooters Motorcycle crew and this year they collected €3,700 from the run.

From this €1,200 of this money goes to Holy Angels Day Care Centre Carlow.

'We had a great day,' said organiser Pat Conlan. ' A big thanks to everyone who took part and supported us.'
