The 17th edition of the annual Tinryland Parish magazine Reaching Out is another highly worthwhile read.

Among the prominent articles in the 36 page magazine is an interesting historical account by Liam Byrne on Tinryland Parish Curates and Priests from the time of Fr. Dunny took up his appointment in 1940 up to the present day, Emma Deane's feature on the evolution of Tinryland Park and Jim Deane's detailed piece on the former Tinney Park House. This years production also includes Cormac Breathnach's participation in the President's "Being Young and Irish" initiative to Brendan Hayden's interview for the GAA Oral History Project.

Reaching out 2012 is on sale for €5 at Deanes shop in Tinryland and Barrack St. Carlow and at the church after Sunday and weekday Masses and is sure to sell out quickly.
