LATE ANTHONY MURPHY

The death occurred at his home in Moyle Big on Monday last of Anthony Murphy. Anthony, who was in his mid 80's was one of natures finest gentlemen. He exuded charisma, and enjoyed the company of all generations both young and old.

Born and reared on the dark road, Kyleballyhue, he was a member of a family immersed in Tinryland GFC, and fittingly was given a guard of honour by its members. A founder member of Tinryland Pitch and Putt in the seventies, he competed in many tournaments throughout Leinster. He enjoyed many a card game with Paddy "Salt" Murphy and many others. Dancing was also a great passion of his, and also having a flutter on the horses. During his illness over the past three years, many of his old friends and neighbours were constant visitors to his house, with Mrs Niamh Doyle giving particular care to his well-being. He also valued the help given to him by the Carlow home care team.

He is deeply regretted by his sister Margaret sisters in law Mary and Olive, Nieces, Nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace
