A night out in Carlow has gained some national prestige following the publication of the list of Bar of the Year 2014 finalists.
The awards are designed to highlight excellence within the industry and remind customers of the excellent service and quality that exists within the licenced trade. There were two nominations for The Terrace on Tullow Street.
They will battle it out with seven of the best bars in the business as they hope to take the title of Leinster Bar of the Year.
As if that wasn't enough, the Carlow town venue also received a nomination for Outside Space of the Year for which they will face competition from all over the country.
Nights out in Carlow just wouldn't be the same without a few drinks in The Foundry and the popularity of the nightclub has been reflected in a nomination for Nightclub of the Year at the awards. The Carlow venue will face extremely stiff competition from all over the country such as The Twisted Pepper and The Wright Venue in Dublin as well as Langtons in neighbouring Kilkenny, but there's no doubt that when it comes to a fun night out, The Foundry can mix it with the best of them!
An expert panel of industry professionals will judge this year's competition and it will culminate in a gala black tie event in the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in October.
