THE Lotto winning numbers for Monday, July 14, are 1, 13, 15 and 30.

There was no jackpot winner. There were two Match 3 winners who each received €75. Maria Hennessy, The Willows, Joan Byrne c/o Tony Noctor. Next week's Match 3 win or share €150. Tickets may be purchased from the Club and Riverside Stores in Hanover.

Next week's jackpot will be €5,600. The draw takes place every Monday night in Teach Asca at 9.00pm. Juvenile training every Sat morning in Pairc Uí Bhriain starting at 11am. BINGO every Thursday night starting at 8.30p with our Jackpot standing at €440 this week. Live band music every Sat night with no cover charge.


A 'Bric A Brac' and Cake Sale will be held in Askea Parish Centre next Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th July from 12noon. Great items to be had for the Home, Ladies and Gents also Children's Clothing. Why not go along and Bag A Bargin!!! All proceeds will go to 'Bone Marrow Leukaemia' in St. James Hospital. Bishop Nulty has announced the 2014 Diocesan changes which includes creating three new deaneries from the previous seven deaneries – Kildare and Leighlin North, West and South. Very Rev Thomas Little Adm Askea and PP Bennekerry/Tinryland has been appointed as Vicar Forane for the deanery of Kildare and Leighlin South. Rev Fr Liam Morgan CC will move to Naas Parish. An evening of prayer and reflection with Tom Kendzia in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow on Wednesday, August 27 from 7:30-9.00 pm. Tom Kendzia is known as a composer, author and performer and is a frequent visitor to Ireland. He has worked as a full-time music director for over twenty years and is currently Director of Music Ministries at Christ the King Church in Kingston, Rhode Island, USA. All are Welcome! The Friends of Calcutta is an Irish registered charity founded in 1994 whose committee comprises mostly of returned volunteers. From initially funding small projects in West Bengal they built their first school in 1996. Today they have three wonderful schools situated in some of the most marginalised areas of the city.

They are a 100% voluntary organisation with all funds raised going directly to the projects they support.

Committee members fund all their own personal expenses on their regular visits to the city.

A Used Clothing Collection will take place on Wednesday 23rd July as follows: Tinryland Church Grounds from 11am to 12 Noon. Bennekerry Church Grounds from 12 Noon to 1pm. Askea Parish Community Centre all morning until 2pm.

Items may also be left in to Askea Parish Community Centre in the days leading up to the 23rd July for collection by the Friends of Calcutta organisation.

All items of clothing are acceptable including shoes, handbags, belts etc.

Duvets and pillows are not included in the clothing collection.

The money meeting for the Cork to Carlow cycle will take place this Thursday 24th of July in the 7 Oaks Hotel at 8 o'clock, also the draw for the bikes will take place on the night. All cyclists are asked to attend.
