Fenagh Newtown Nurney Senior Citizens Group wishes to say a big thank you to Carlow Hunt for their very generous cheque which was presented to Mary Nolan, treasurer at a quiz in Kearney's Lounge, Fenagh recently.
Bishop Denis Nulty. Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, will be the guest speaker at the Parish Novena in St. Andrew's Parish Church, Bagenalstown, on Tuesday. April 8.
DEREK RYAN PLAYS KILLOUGHTERNANE HALL

Bagenalstown Active Retirement is organising a summer outing, based in Westport, Co. Mayo, commencing Mon. June 23 for four nights/five days, visiting local attractions. Cost €325 per person sharing. If interested please call Kate on 087 9004234.
Meals on Wheels

The 1st Bagenalstown Baden Powell Scout Troop held their annual collection recently and would like to thank all the Troop members, parents, committee members and supporters who assisted. Thanks to Connolly's Supervalu, McCullough's and Aldi for their assistance and to everybody in the community of Bagenalstown and surrounding areas who contributed so generously to the collection.
Erin's Own Hurling Club will hold their Golf Classic at the Mt. Wolseley course in Tullow. A big effort is required from all players and committee members as this is the last big fundraiser for this year. Rose of Ballinkillen
Ballinkillen Hurling Club hosted the 1st Rose of Ballinkillen Competition in Ballinkillen/Lorum Community Centre recently.
Compere Billy Fanning, Daithi O'Shea attended and Tommy Kinsella, a GAA stalwart, acted as MC. The interval maintained the high standard with two world class Irish dancers, Amy Davis and Roisin O'Brien giving rousing performances. Congratulations to Leanne Corcoran who was crowned the 1st Rose of Ballinkillen.
We wish her all the best in the Carlow Rose Competition and beyond. Thanks to the organising committee- Paddy Farrell, Tommy Kinsella, Geraldine Joyce, Margaret Joyce, Sinead Minchin and Mick Kinsella PR0; to the judges, sponsors and all who volunteered on the night.
