The following are the results of the Lotto Draw on 16th January 2014. Numbers drawn were - 1, 8, 19 and 26. There was no winner of the €12,000 jackpot. Lucky Dip Winners were as follows: €60 – P. Earle, C/o D. Whelan, €30 - John Cahill, Carlow, C/o J. Whelan and €20 - B. & J., C/o J. Kenny.

GRANGE GAA NEWS
Grange GAA will hold its Annual General Meeting in the Club House on Friday 24th January at 8.00 p.m. Everyone is very welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to build in the workshop held before Christmas and anyone with any interest in the club or think they could help in anyway are welcome. Anyone interested in playing junior football this year and think they need to be re-graded please contact Gordon Hegarty at (086) 8174421 or any committee member.
There was no winner of the recent Lotto Jackpot draw. The numbers drawn were 11-12-15-21. Lucky dip winners were James Pender, Killerig and John Pender, Killerig, while the Sellers prize was won by Anne Rooney, Rathoe. The next draw for is €13,500 jackpot and takes place in The Hogan Stand, Tullow on the 29th January. Tickets €2.00.

Tullow Men's Shed is still collecting any old mobile phones to obtain a defibulator for Tullow town. Phones can be left in Hickson's, Stack's Chemist, Discount Store, Foran's Pub, Community School or The Men's Shed. There is always a warm welcome for new members at The Men's Shed. On Saturday 15th February in Tullow, Co. Carlow, there is a special Valentine's Event taking place. Challenge yourself to 5Kof cross country, obstacles and muck - lots of muck! This event is open to everyone from couch potatoes to seasoned athletes so now is the time to enter online and join the Valentine Muckfest. There will be a DJ on site, and a funny camera booth to get your memorable photographs. All entrants who complete the course will receive a trophy and a hot beverage crossing the finish line. There will be photographers taking live snaps during the race which will be available on Facebook afterwards. Proceeds of the Valentine Muckfest are towards Ardattin National School and the Parish Community Walking Track.

Drama Ardattin Drama Group present "The Hitch" and "A Mad Breakfast" in Ardattin Hall on Sat 15th, Sun 16th, Fri 21st and Sat 22nd February 2014 at 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased on the door. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
SLANEY VALLEY QUIZ
The annual County Community Games Quiz is due to take place in Carlow on Friday 7th, February 2014. In order to organise area teams to train for and participate in this quiz we will be holding three practice sessions in St. Brigid's Hall, Clonegal. The first practice session will take place on Tuesday 21st from 7 to 8 pm. The age group for the quiz is boys and girls (mixed) under 14 years on the 31st July 2014. The quiz is a general knowledge quiz with some questions on Community games activities. Anyone who is currently aged from 5th class up to the maximum age is welcome to come along to the training sessions. Please bring a pen and paper. Call (086)1967376.

Carlow County Council will commence a €400,000 upgrade of the road surface at Tullowbeg commencing Monday 27th January 2014. There will be SEVERE traffic disruption in the town during the construction phase. Traffic will be detoured and Tullowbeg will in all probability be one way.
