Published 15/01/2013 | 11:25

A NEW term of the popular Oral Irish afterschool's group for 4th-6th year students will commence on Wednesday, 23 January in the New Oak Community Centre.

The group will meet for one hour each Wednesday evening from 4.30-5.30pm in the lead up to the Oral Irish Examinations in April. Under the direction of a qualified teacher, the students will practice their oral skills covering a wide range of topics in preparation for the examination. With 40% of total marks now going to the oral exam, students will welcome any opportunity to converse 'as Gaeilge' and improve their language skills in an informal setting.

Places are limited so early booking is essential to ensure a place.

Fee for the term is €20. Full details and registration from Glór Cheatharlach, Sráid an Choláiste, Ceatharlach. Tel (059) 9158105 or (085) 1340047.
