Leighlin ICA Guild wish to thank all those who gave most generously to the coffee mornings last week in Leighlin and in Shaw's of Carlow. A grand total of €2,072.15 was raised for the Andrew Dawson Leukaemia fund. A very sincere thank you to all who baked, donated and gave of their time to raise this magnificent amount. Thank you also to the staff and management of Shaw's who facilitated the coffee morning and raffle.

Carlow Regional PTAA Dinner Dance takes place in the Lord Bagenal Hotel on Friday 16th November. Tickets are €25 each and can be obtained by contacting any committee member or from Mary Meaney on 086 6027751. Always a great night with good food and great dancing.
Leighlin Active Retirement will host a representative from "The Marie Keating Foundation", she will talk on Cancer Prevention & Health Promotion. Monday 19th November at 2.30pm. All are welcome. Wishing our 33 members an enjoyable time next week at the Golden Years Festival, Waterford. Also congratulatioins to the Leighlin team that came 3rd in the bowls competition this week in the Mount Wolsley Hotel in Tullow. There were 24 Teams in the competition. Competitors were John McNally, Ina Rice, Mary McDonald and John Rice.

Leighlinbridge Improvement Group are delighted to have been recipients of the Michael Deering Perpetual Cup at the recent Carlow Pride of Place Awards. Seskin Road picked up a prize for the best estate, and the village also came 2nd in their category. A big thank you to all who turned up to make our morning on KCLR's Sue Nunn show such a great success.
