On Saturday 13th October the sun was shining as a group of camogie girls, their trainers and families walked up Gibbet Hill near Bunclody. The group included babes in arms and supportive grannies. Many girls wore their new club hoodies which were sponsored by another generous contribution from Reach Broadband's Dale Mc Williams. He also presented the girls with a medal to mark their first season of playing camogie.

This walk ensured essential sponsorship was raised for the next camogie season. A huge thanks to the Grennan family for a very welcome cup of tea and biscuits at the bottom of the hill, following the walk.

Club Chairperson Charmaine Cox thanked everybody for their involvement and looked forward to next season. She also urged parents to get involved and give a little time to the camogie club as a way of building on the strong foundation established in the past six months.

The club is holding their AGM on Tuesday 13th November at 8.30pm in the Spellman park sports complex. All parents or anyone interested in getting involved with the club are very welcome to attend.
