THE GATHERING 2013
St Fiacc's School Reunion will this year marks the 21 year anniversary of the official opening of the school. To mark the occasion there is a very special weekend of reminiscences and memories planned for the June Bank Holiday weekend. These will include a School Open Day and entertainment on 31st May, a football blitz and night out on Saturday 01 June and a special Mass in St Clare's Church on Saturday evening 01 June at 6.30pm. CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Last Sunday marked the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. The aim of the week is to highlight and celebrate the wonderful contribution that our Catholic Schools make to our local community and society in general. This year's theme is 'Catholic Schools in the Community of Faith: Sharing the Good News'. Many events are planned in our schools to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and next weekend our school children from Primary and Secondary schools will participate at our Masses. We focus, especially this year on St Brigid as we make crosses to fundraise for Youth Ministry and all are welcome to journey with us to the St Brigid's Eve Festival on Jan. 31st at6.30pm for a pilgrimage of quiet prayer, song and reflection.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
The Parish is offering a Baptism Preparation Evening to all parents seeking Baptism for their child. This meeting will take place once a month in our Parish Centre from 7pm to 8.30pm on Monday 25 February and Monday 25 March. While this evening is optional, we strongly encourage parents to avail of the meeting as we are anxious to assist them in any way we can at this special time.
KILLESHIN FC LOTTO
There was no winner of the recent Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 7 and 26. The four lucky dip winners were Marie Byrne, Kevin Fitzgerald, Marion Reddy and Eamonn Brennan, each received €25 and the seller's prize of €25 was won by Darragh McDonald. The Jackpot now stands at €7,900 and tickets can purchased for €2 from any club member or from the local shop and public houses
LOURDES INVALID FUND
The AGM of the Graiguecullen-Killeshin Lourdes Invalid Fund will take place in the Thatch Bar on Wednesday 30th January at 8pm. Cards will be available on the night for the annual draw which will take place on Saturday 16 March.
Killeshin Soccer Club are holding their Fifth annual table quiz in the Talbot Hotel, Carlow on Thursday 7thFebruary. The quiz starts at 9pm sharp with a table of four costing €40. This night has always been a great success and your continued support is greatly appreciated.
PARISH SWIMMING POOL
Children's Swimming Lessons resuming on Saturday mornings. Spaces Available from 9 to 10am and from 10am to 11am also Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7pm. Contact Swimming Pool at 9140330. Get Fit for the New Year our Water Aerobics are resuming on Monday and Thursday nights from 9 to 10pm. All are welcome. This Friday 1st February is the First Friday of the month. There will be the usual penitential service during the 10am Mass in St. Clare's.
CHOIR MEMBERS WANTED
Killeshin Choir are seeking new members of all ages so anyone interested please speak to any choir member after 10.15 Mass.
Our Parish Annual is now available from the parish centre and local shops and it cost just €5.
COMMUNION TO THE SICK
Frs. John and Brian will bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound on Tuesday and Wednesday, 05 and 06 February.

PARISH FINANCE MEETING
Parish Finance Meeting will take place on this Wednesday, 30th January at 8pm in the Parish Centre.

The annual holiday commences on Monday 10th June for four nights, five days, staying in the Four Seasons Hotel, in Carlingford, Co. Louth. Cost €300.
Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place on each Sunday at the 11.30am Mass in St Clare's. We invite all children between four years and first class to join us for our Sunday school. Our aim is to introduce the children to the Mass by taking part in activities appropriate to their age. These activities will take place in the parish centre and will be supervised by adults and students from our second level schools.
VALENTINE'S DAY MASS
On Tuesday 14th February we invite all couples to a special Mass in St Clare's Church at 7.30pm on that day. Any couple who is celebrating a special milestone anniversary this year and would like it celebrated at the Mass are asked to contact the parish office.

Saplings School for Children with Autism are delighted to announce that they have produced their 'Carlow of Old' calendar again this year. The calendar was very well received last year and this year they have included a new set of old pictures from different areas around Carlow from the 50's and 60's.
It is ideal gift for family and friends especially for anyone abroad at a cost of €5. They have also their popular Christmas cards for sale in the Graiguecullen Parish Centre, Fine Framers, Rancho Reilly's Pet Farm, the Lazy River Cafe and Saplings School, Church Road. THURSDAY MORNING CLUB
Thursday Morning club has resumed after 10am Mass in St Clare's. Parishioners are invited into the Parish Centre after Mass for a cuppa and a chat.
Support Group for Parents who lost a baby before, during or after birth, there will be a meeting on Monday 25 February at 8pm in the Parish Centre.

FEAST OF ST BLAISE
St Blaise is the patron of throat illnesses. Blessing of throats will take place at all Masses next weekend. The Blessing of St Blaise is a sign of our Faith in God's protection and love for us.

Anyone who would like to reflect on the Sunday readings is invited to a half hour meeting each Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre. A special invitation to all who will be reading the Word of God at Mass on Sunday. This is an opportunity for people to enhance their participation in their celebration of Mass each Sunday.

Graiguecullen Ladies and Juvenile Girls AGM will be held on Friday 8th February in the upstairs meeting room in new building. Parents of juvenile girls are asked to attend the meeting and anyone not involved in the club are also invited to attend. Recent Lotto results, numbers drawn were 3, 18, 22 and 29. There was no Jackpot winner so for the next draw, Jackpot €10,000, Reserve €10,000, Second Reserve €5,400. There was one Match 3 winner of €200; Mark c/o Marie O'Rourke. Sellers prize of €20 each went to John Corcoran, Martin Power and Michael Regan.
