Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach

TY students participated in a Youth Ideation/Problem Solving Camp which was run by Carlow Lions Club in conjunction with Intel.

The two day course was held in the Seven Oaks Hotel and the students looked at the problems in the education system. The class was broken up into small groups and worked together to try to identify the problems and come up with some solutions.


The showjumping team, Clíodhna Ní Chonraoi, Ruth Ní Chearnaigh, Nadia Blanchfield and Holly Ní Bholgúir, competed in the Interschools Championship at the Tipperary Equestrian Centre in Thurles last weekend. They did very well and came fifth out of nineteen schools.


Garda Ralph Holmes visited the school this week and spoke to first year students about the danger of drugs and also about cyberbullying. The students were all very interested and learned a lot. He also spoke to TY classes about the work of the Gardaí and the Gardaí as a career.
