ASKEA COMMUNITY Games (AREA 5) U-10 Area Handwriting competition will take place on Wednesday 8th January at 7pm in Askea Boys School. Indoor soccer training continues in the CBS Gym on Saturdays, U-10 & U-13 Girls train at 3 - 4 pm, U-13 Boys train at 4 -5 pm & U-10 Boys train at 5 - 6 pm. County competitions to be held in the Presentation College Carlow, U-13s Girls & Boys on 19th January & U-10s Girls & Boys on 26th January.

Is Leor Beirt 2014: Following the Christmas break the informal morning Irish Conversation Circle 'as Gaeilge' resumes tomorrow Wednesday, 8th January in Carlow Library, Tullow Street. 'Is Leor Beirt' meets every Wednesday from 10.30-11.30am. Why not drop in for a chat and a 'cupán tae'.

SEAN-NÓS DANCE

Glór Cheatharlach is delighted to confirm that a new series of Sean-Nós dancing classes for all ages will be held in Carlow Town Hurling Club on Tuesdays, commencing 14 January and conducted by champion dancer Irene Cunningham. Classes for beginners will be at 6pm followed by the intermediate level at 7pm. The fee for the six week course is €30 for adults and €15 for juniors.
