Parkville Lotto

The following are the results of the Lotto Draw on 7th November 2013. Numbers drawn were - 6, 10, 15 and 19. There was no winner of the €10,000 jackpot. Lucky Dip Winners were as follows: €60 - Valerie James, C/o D.C.C., €30 - Antoinette Brennan, C/o The Hall and €20 - Ed. Kelly, C/o Lilly Brennan. Next week's jackpot is worth a whopping €10,200 and your continued support is very much appreciated

Person of Year

Person of the Year The Rehab, County Carlow Person of the Year presentation ceremony will take place at Mount Wolseley Hotel on Saturday 16th November with Eileen Dunne of RTE as M.C. with music by The Showband Show.

Be-Frienders

Tullow Day Care Centre is providing a Befriending service for people in the community who would like some company and social interaction from our trained befrienders. Any person who is interested in having a befriender please contact Martina on (059) 9151833.

Tidy Towns Awards

The Tullow Tidy Towns Awards Evening will take place on Tuesday 12th November at 7.30p.m. in the function room of The Tara Arms. Everyone is very welcome to attend the demonstration and the Awards Evening.

Boxing Club

Self Help Africa

There will be a Pub Quiz in The Irish Bar on Friday 15th November at 9.00 p.m. in aid of Enda Teehan's "Great Ethopian Run" later this month. Raffle on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Flower Club

Tullow Flower and Garden Club will host a Gala Christmas demonstration by Carol Bon, National and International demonstrator at Mount Wolseley Hotel on Tuesday 19th November at 8.00 p.m. Admission €12. All welcome.

Photo competition

Carlow Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition is being run as part of the Christmas in Carlow 2013 in association with Carlow County Development Partnership. The theme is "Movement in Carlow" and entries must depict movement (action or motion). The competition is open to all amateur photographers from Carlow. The closing date is Friday 22nd November at 3.00 p.m. and there is no entry fee. The 10 shortlisted photographs will be exhibited in the George Bernard Shaw room in Carlow Library between Monday 2nd and Friday 6th December. There will be prizes for U-18 and over 18 categories which are kindly sponsored by Bagenalstown Credit Union Limited and Carlow District Credit Union Limited.

Marathon Runners

The fund now stands at an amazing €11,527.91. Thanks a million to all for your generosity. The presentation of cheques to the local charities will take place on Friday 15th November at 8.00 p.m. in the Bishop's House, Tullow.

Parents Association

The A.G.M. of Tullow Boys' National School Parents Association will be held on Wednesday 13th November at 8 p.m. in Mrs Leavy's Bar in the Tara Arms.

Athletic Club

St. Patrick's Athletic is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. The club is very proud to have an association in the community of Tullow with members from tiny tots up to approx 16 years attending.

The re-scheduled AGM of the Club will be on the Tuesday 19th Nov 2013 in the Parish Centre in Tullow at 8 pm We would love to see parents of the members attend,. During this meeting the running and the future of the Club will be discussed. And perhaps a cup of tea will be served to welcome all who attend

Golf Society

The A.G.M. of Tullow Golf Society will be held in Mrs Leavy's Bar in The Tara Arms on Monday 18th November at 8.00 p.m. sharp. All members are requested to attend. New members welcome.

Clothing Appeal

Dochas Nasamu OrphanageÄin Naorobi, Kenya, which is an Irish run and Irish built Aids orphanage is holding a used clothing appeal of ladies, gents and children clothes, shoes and household linens

on Thursday 14th November from 8.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Ardattin Church and Tullow Church.
