A Bed Push will be held this Saturday 27th July in aid of Special needs local boy Kyle Corcoran from Graiguecullen, who needs a specialist bed. Please come out and support Kyle and his family. The bed push begins at midday going up through Carlow town and all around Graiguecullen. Kyle's family wish to thank you in advance for your support

PILGRIMAGE

The CARLOW Pioneer Pilgrimage to Our Lady's Island Co. Wexford will take place on Sunday 25th August, 2013. Bus departs Askea Car Park at 12:00 noon, returning 7:30p.m. approximately. Tickets €10. Number limited. Bookings to Anne on 087 7638695 after 7:30pm before 16th August.

BLUES LOTTO

Last week's Lotto numbers for O'Hanrahans G.F. C. Drawn were 8-9-15-22. There were Two Match 3 winners who received €75 each. Thomas Fleysial c/o Michael Walker Heather Hills and Dymphna Moore c/o F.Holden. Sellers prizes went to Tom Farrell €25 and M. Condron €15. The club's annual Golf Classic takes place on Friday 2nd August at Carlow Golf Club. Team of 4 is €120. All welcome. The Membership Draw (€20 tickets) takes place on Saturday 3rd August in Carpenters. Tickets whether sold or unsold are to be returned before that date.

RACE NIGHT

ASCA GFC will hold their annual race night on Friday 26th July in Teach Dolmain, Tullow Street with first race at 9 pm. Tom Dowling, of KCLR fame, will conduct proceedings and a great night's 'craic 's flac' is guaranteed. Horses can be purchased at €10 each while sponsorship of any amount can be given to any Committee member. Patrons and Committee are reminded that all cards must be returned by Monday 22nd July for processing.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

THE Catholic Grandparents Association Carlow Branch, invite you to a Celebration Mass on Friday 26th July 2013 (Feast of Sts Joachim and Anne, grandparents of Jesus) in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow at 10am. Summer camp

The Carlow Regional Youth Services Tullow Road Summer Camp is taking place from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th July at Holy Family Boy's N.S., Askea. The fees for the camp are €45 for waged and €35 unwaged. The camp caters for children aged 5 -12 years. Activities include arts and crafts, sports and games and a day trip. SENIOR CITIZENS

Askea Parish Senior Citizens Summer outing. Day trip (including lunch), to Waterford/Tramore on Wednesday 24th July. Leaving Parish Centre at 9.45am. Return to Parish Centre for tea, bingo, music and dancing. Anyone who is coming in the evening, the meal is at 6pm. Contact Marion at 9143010.

THE Carlow Garden Festival takes place from Saturday 27th July - Monday 5th August at various locations throughout Carlow. For novice gardeners to garden connoisseurs, garden designers to GIY gourmets, grandparents to grandchildren, painters to photographers and family fun for all.
