ASKEA CENTRE REOPENS

The Askea Parish Centre will re-open after the Christmas break on this coming Thursday 2nd January. Requests for anniversaries may be telephoned to 087 1269709 or left into the Sacristy.

SCHOOL OF DANCE

The Marie Cashin School of Dance Classes every Saturday in Eire Og Club House. Last chance to join in January 2014 to be a part of June show! Girls and boys aged 5-19yrs. Lots of styles of dance, singing and more!

SENIOR CITIZENS

The Askea Senior Citizens Annual Christmas Party in the Seven Oaks Hotel was a great day. Over 80 people attended and everyone enjoyed themselves, they would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported them this year, including their fundraising activities.

They will be back at the end of January and would love to see new members coming to their monthly night and to wish all their members a very happy and peaceful New Year, see you all soon.

TEFL COURSE

CAKE AND CRAFTS SALE

Thanks to all who supported the Bone Marrow Leukaemia Cake and Crafts sale in Askea Parish Community Centre. Winners of the raffle were 1st – John Kennedy, Balbriggan, 2nd - Dympna Mullins, Ballon 3rd – P O'Connor

An excellent total of €500 was raised in all. Many thanks to everyone and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

CITIZENS INFORMATION

Carlow Citizen's Information Centre Christmas 2013 Closing Hours – Carlow CIS is closing for Christmas on Friday 20th December at 12.30pm and will reopen for business as usual on Thursday 2nd January 2014 at 10am.

ASKEA COMMUNITY GAMES Indoor Soccer U-10 & U-13 Boys and Girls practice will commence very soon. They are seeking girls in particular for these 2 events as they are trying to participate in more girls team events this year.
