Carlow-based web-hosting company Blacknight have once again shown themselves to be to the fore of innovation as they officially announced an exciting new step in the development of hosting.

'NG' or 'Next Generation' hosting offers increased stability for all users and means that a single site can no longer take down a web server. NG will be compatible with IPv6 and will be hosted out of Blacknight data centre in Carlow town.

Blacknight is the first company in the country to offer IPv6 shared hosting to the Irish market.

CEO of the company Michele Neylon said: 'We are proud to offer the Next Generation of hosting to our customers. We are always looking to bring the best of breed technology to the Irish market. We are also very pleased to hosting the service from our own data centre on-site in Carlow.'
