People travelled from all over the world to be at The Woodford Dolmen Hotel recently to help two people to celebrate a very special landmark.

John and Karen Corcoran of Castlewood Gardens celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in style as they invited bikers from all over the world to Carlow to join in the fun.

John is the chapter president of The God Squad, which is a Christian Motorcycle club that was originally founded in Australia. He's had a passion for bikes all his life and he and Karen could think of no better way to celebrate the landmark than inviting all their friends from the club to join them for a special night.

Bikers arrived from Australia, New Zealand, England and all over the world to join in the fun and John and Karen were delighted to see everyone.

'It was a wonderful night,' said Karen. 'We had people from all over the world turn up which made it extra special. My son, who's a pastor, did a short ceremony and then we had music from Tumbling Dice and a party afterwards.'

John and Karen's love goes back further than John's love of motorbikes, as they met in Carlow when they were teenagers and have been head over heels ever since. They were married in Killeshin Church in 1984 and having raised their children they are still enjoying each other's company today.
