Youth Theatre seeking new members

COUNTY Carlow Youth Theatre is looking to attract more youngsters from around the County to get involved with their organisation. Established by the Carlow Local Authorities Arts Service in 2001, the organisation is made up of three strong youth theatres across the County.
Two of the groups are based in Carlow Town and reside in the fabulous GBShaw Theatre and meet on a Monday evening.
The current 'Mini' Youth Theatre group contain youngsters aged between 12 and 15 and meet from 6 - 8 p.m., while the older Carlow Youth Theatre Group are aged from 12 to 15 years old and meet on the same evening from 8 - 10 p.m. Currently Tullow Youth Theatre are based at Teach Bríde, Tullow and cater for 15 to 18 year olds meeting on Thursdays. Although the youth theatre has finished for the summer, it will be starting back as strong as ever in September and are hoping to recruit even more young members.
Each of the groups are now well established and the young people involved have taken part and learnt many different drama skills.

It prides itself on quality engagement that responds directly to the needs and stages at which they are at, of the young people who engage with it and we value the involvement of every young person involved and its great fun!' County Carlow Youth Theatre are also seeking leaders with a passion for theatre, group work skills and the ability to connect and work with adolescents to come forward and help out.
