Youth Service offers children affordable summer camp places

CARLOW Regional Youth Service offers a number of programmes to young people aged eight – 23 years this summer.
The service runs projects in Carlow town, Graiguecullen, New Oak/Tullow Rd., Bagenalstown and Tullow and have been offering affordable Summer Camps for children for the past 24 years.
This year is their 25th Anniversary and they plan on it being one of the best summer camps ever.
'Each year we have over 300 children and over 100 volunteers participate, in what has proven to be, a fun filled week of Sports, Arts and Crafts, Music and much more,' said Aoife Walsh, youth justice worker.
'Camp is for children aged five to 12 and there are various venues around the town for the different age groups.'
Registration for Summer Camp will take place on Tuesday May 7 from 6.30 p. m – 7.30 p. m. Venues for registration are The Vault, Burrin Street and Holy Family Girls N.S., Askea. The price of camp per child is €35 unwaged family (proof of receipt of Social Welfare required) or €45 waged family. Only full payment will be accepted on the night.
