RTE's Big Music Train is on track for Carlow

Some of the finest musicians Ireland has to offer are coming down the tracks to Carlow as the RTE Big Music Week Train gets set to roll into the town in the first week of October as part of RTE Big Music Week.
Now in it's fourth year, Big Music Week celebrates the very best of home-grown musical talent by bringing live performances to audiences all over Ireland and the world via radio, television, online and on mobile.
Throughout the week, the three carriage RTE Big Music Week Train will visit some of the country's best loved venues and most travelled stations carrying on board some of Ireland's best loved artists.
Carrying on board the Big Music Week House Band on board, the train will set off from Bray on Monday September 30 and work its way all over the country for a jam-packed schedule of ticketed and free pop-up, drop-in and stop-by events, busking sessions, benefit concerts, musical workshops, parades and much more.
At the Carlow Station stop on Monday September 30, Kathryn Thomas will present a free live busking event featuring music from Jack L, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Selina O'Leary, Vickers Vimy. The train will roll in at 3:15 p.m. and it promises to be a great show.
