Rose of Tralee

Grange GAA News

Grange Juvenile football returns again on Wednesday 10th April at 6.30pm at Grange GFC, for U6's, U8's and U10's. Please contact Clare on (087) 1205529 for further information.

On April 13th the club is taking part in a shave or dye in partnership with Grange FC in the Hogan Stand Tullow at 9.00 o'clock sponsorship and volunteers welcome. This is a fund raiser for cancer research.

The club is running a lovely girls competition as a fund raiser May 24th in the Tara Arms - more details later. The club is running a bus to Croke Parke on Saturday for u8s and their mentors.

St. Patrick's Park Clean Up

Carlow County Council in conjunction with the residents of St. Patrick's Park have organised a community Clean Up for the park to take place on Saturday 13th April commencing at 11.00 a.m. Please bring your yard brushes, your shovels and spades, your gloves and your litter pickets but most importantly bring yourself.

The plan is to meet up at the green area on the left hand side between No.s 20 and 21 and to tackle the litter, freshen up the flower beds and clean up the back lanes.

Parkville Lotto

The following are the results of the Lotto Draw on 4th April 2013. Numbers drawn were - 5, 8, 19 and 25. There was no winner of the €12,600 jackpot. Lucky Dip

Drama Competition

Carlow Macra na Feirme, are hosting the semi final round of the National Drama Competition, in the Murphy Memorial Hall, Tullow on Saturday 13th April 2013. Doors open at 7 pm, Acts start at 8.00 pm sharp. Adults €10, children free.

We will have four, one act plays on stage and they are as follows, "The Marriage Plan:, "Red", "One Man Down" and "A Dogs Life". The Judge on the night will be Patrick Nolan of Fair City Fame aka Barry O'Hanlahan. Tickets available on the door.

Tullow Bingo

Bingo every Thursday night at 8.30 p.m. in the Capt. Murphy Memorial Hall, Barrack Street. Next week's Supervalu Jackpot will be €440 .

Day Care AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Tullow Day Care Centre will be held in the Centre on Tuesday 23rd April at 8.00 p.m. Everyone most welcome and anyone interested in joining the Committee please come along on the night.

Parade Results

St. Patrick's Day Parade Results: Floats-1st Croke Park Failure, 2nd Trotters Takeaway and 3rd Keogh Brothers Manufacturing. Group-1st Tullow Tae Kwon Do, 2nd Tullow Stage School and 3rd Dowsa Dance School. Individuals-1st Pope Francis (Peter Lucas) and 2nd Hay Day of St. Patrick (Ger Hogan). Children-1st Mickey and 2nd Forward Steps. Window Display-1st Tullow Discount Store, 2nd New to U-Forward Steps Resource Centre.

St. Patrick's Day Parade committee would like to say a big "Thank You" to everyone involved in the Parade-it was another successful year.

Clothing Collection

Dochas Nasamu Orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya, which is an Irish run and Irish built Aids orphanage, is holding a used clothing appeal of ladies, gents and children's clothes, shoes, household items etc. This appeal will take place on Tuesday 9th April until 11.15 a.m. at Tullow Church Grounds.

Irish Night

An Irish Night with Joe Hickey and friends will be held on Friday 19th April at 8.00 p.m. in Ballyconnell Hall in aid of Clonmore Church. Tickets are €5. Refreshments and raffle.

Active Retirement

Members please note: There will be three sessions of exercises to Music on Friday 12rh, 19th and 26th April. They will be held in the Tullow Parish Community Centre at 11.00 a.m. This is a new activity and is suitable for all levels of fitness. You are encouraged to come and try it out. Open to non members. Fee is €5 per session. Teacher: Alicia Walsh.

Committee Meeting at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday 9th April followed by General Meeting at 2.30 p.m. in the Resource Centre. Membership for 2013 is now overdue. You can pay at monthly meeting or leave an envelope in the office of the Resource Centre.

Presentation Evening

Presentation of Funds raised during the year by Crosslow Fundraisers will take place in the Tara Arms on Saturday 13th April at 9.30 p.m. Gerry Cully from Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin and Bernie Connell from Barretstown will attend on the night. All welcome.
