Trouble there is and trouble there is going to be in the Killeshin/Crettyyard Border area!

But it will all be for fun this Friday, Saturday and Sunday night 6 -8 December as the 'The Troubled Bachelors', take to the stage in Behan's Pub at 8 p.m. sharp each night.

This three act comedy play by A. J. Stanley, is being performed by the Oisin Players and the cast members have decided that all proceeds will go to local charities.

The play is set in rural Ireland in the 1940's and is based on three bachelors who are threatened with the loss of their Council cottages to larger families unless they themselves get married within three months.

The audience are assured tears of laughter as the 'troubled batchelors' try to grasp the seriousness of a letter from the local Urban Council and then consider the pros and cons of married life.

Drama enthusiasts will also appreciate how this cast has slotted into the various characters of these bygone days and together with a powerful stage set and costumes they combine to bring this work of A.J. Stanley's to life.
