Player ratings

Darren Quigley: 6/10. Wasn't helped by his defence at all. Was lucky Rafter couldn't finish the chance he gifted him in the first half.

Daire Doyle: 6/10. Never afraid to get on the ball and always gives 100% but doesn't offer enough on the ball.

Danny O'Connor: 6/10. Should have done better for the Dundalk opener but solid aside from that.

Shane O'Connor: 6/10. The current young player of the year enjoyed a no frills performance on his return from injury.

Kevin Knight: 5/10. Went missing for the first goal and was replaced at half time.

Dean Zambra: 6/10. Couldn't influence the game as much as usual out on the right flank.

Sean Houston: 7/10. Found himself in three different positions throughout the 90 minutes and didn't disappoint in any of them.

Kevin O'Connor: 7/10. Plenty of late runs into the Dundalk area which caused problems but unfortunately none resulted in a goal.

Paul Moffatt: 5/10. Struggled. Looked a bit lightweight and spent far too much time looking to the referee for help.

Kieran 'Marty' Waters: 7/10. Never ceases to surprise. Pick that one out.

Jason Byrne: 6/10. Had performed well until he had to be stretchered off in the 55th minute due to a gashed leg.
