IT WAS an action-packed weekend of football in the top flight, with the four teams in action mustering 13 goals between them.
Seven of those strikes came at Celtic Park as Arklow Celtic B and Shillelagh United served up a scintillating encounter. United lead the bottom club by three goals to nil but the hosts weren't ready to submit and goals from Edwin Walker, Mark Wolohan and Edward McLoughlin saw them draw themselves level.
However, there was a venomous sting in the tail for Celtic as United were awarded a penalty - their third in the match - in the dying minutes and they converted it to steal all three points.
Two days earlier in Berryfield Lane, Enniskerry YC and St. Anthony's managed a thriller of their own.
The hosts were 3-1 ahead at one stage courtesy of goals from Niall Meldon, Des Kelly and Gavin Barton but Darren Collopy, responsible for the Kilcoole side's first effort, added two more to his account to record a hat-trick and earn his side a point to open up a two point lead at the top of the table.
