The 'Wild Geese Society' held a golf competition at Charlesland Golf Club last week in aid of Open Door Day Care Centre.

The charity event was organised by Belinda Burke, captain of the Wild Geese Society.

Between the entries, raffle ticket sales and sales of Janice Burns' hand crafted Christmas cards, a total of €772 was raised for Open Door Day Centre.

'The Open Door members, staff and Board of Trustees would like to thank Belinda very much for supporting the Centre,' said spokeswoman Suzanne Cox.

All money collected will help fund activities for adults with physical and sensory disabilities.
