Diana Flanagan of Ladies Workout Express, Bray, presented a cheque for €2,002.72 to members of Open Door.

This fantastic total was raised by staff and members of Ladies Workout Express who took part in this year's Flora Women's Mini Marathon.

This is the second year in a row that LWE has supported Open Door and it is much appreciated by all at the Centre.

The Flora Women's Mini Marathon is a major fundraiser for Open Door Day Centre.

An overall total of €3,936.42 was collected for the Centre through sponsorship.

All money raised from this ladies-only event goes towards providing facilities and activities for adults with physical and sensory disabilities and also providing a vital break to carers and their families.

Visit www.opendoor.ie to see how Open Door helps the community.

Suzanne Cox, Development Officer for Open Door, is delighted with the support and enthusiasm from Diane Flanagan, Director, and Breda Hempenstall, Assistant Manageress of Ladies Workout Express.

Next year's Flora Women's Mini Marathon takes place on Bank Holiday Monday June 2 2014.

Anyone who is interested in taking part in aid of Open Door can contact either Suzanne Cox on (087) 6250823 or Diane Flanagan on (087) 2101226.
