Members of Wicklow Sinn Féin highlighted the Gaza conflict on Monday evening as they draped banners off the pedestrian walkway at Kilmacanogue.
The event was held to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people and asking people to boycott Israeli goods that are on sale in this country.
Although a small crowd turned out for the event it caught the attention of thousands of commuters on the N11 as large banners reading 'Stop the Slaughter – Free Gaza and Palestine' and 'Ireland Stands with Gaza' flew from the overhead bridge at peak traffic time.
Wicklow Sinn Fein want people to boycott all Israeli products until the conflict is ended.
