A TEENAGE boy was killed near Bray Dart Station in a tragic incident on Monday evening.
The Garda helicopter, ambulance service and fire brigade all rushed to the scene at around 6.30 p.m. on Monday after reports that someone had been hit by a train.
The deceased youth was just 16 years old. It is understood that he had been reported missing in the Dublin area.
Gardaí sealed off the station and paramedics with the assistance of firemen removed the remains from the tracks to a waiting ambulance.
Rail services were suspended while the emergency services worked. The incident occurred at Woodbrook as a Southbound train approached Bray.
Gardaí and the Rail Accident Investigation Unit investigated the death, which gardaí have called a 'tragic incident'.
