Strikes on a number of Roadstone Woods premises including those in Blessington, Arklow and Bray have been suspended pending a ballot on Labour Court Recommendation.
SIPTU suspended strike action at Roadstone Woods Ltd last Friday pending the ballot following a Labour Court Recommendation.
SIPTU Organiser, Davy Lane, said: 'The decision to suspend the strike was made Friday afternoon by the National Committee of SIPTU members in Roadstone Woods Ltd.
'SIPTU members were balloted on the proposals contained in the Labour Court Recommendation. The ballot was conducted on Monday and Tuesday of this week.'
The ballot was due to be counted last night (Tuesday).
'The National Committee has not made any recommendation to members on how they should vote in the ballot', said Mr. Lane.
The strike by SIPTU members at Roadstone Woods Ltd. facilities began on Monday June 16, in a dispute concerning an attempt by management to implement major cuts to workers' wages.
