Christine Flood's hard work as Town Clerk was remarked upon by many in Bray Town Hall last Tuesday, including outgoing Cathaoirleach Tracy O'Brien.
'Christine has put Bray first above everything else,' said Tracy, asking her to keep an eye on Bray as she makes the move to Wicklow.
Tracy added that it has been an honour to work with the Town Manager Des O'Brien. With positive progress made on developing the Florentine site, she said that Des had been instrumental in that. 'The Florentine is one thing that this town will be grateful for in coming years.'
'If only your mother (former councillor Anne Egan) had given me such praise!' said Mr. O'Brien.
However Tracy revealed that she had promised her mother to do something about the Florentine during her term.
'It's on your head!' she told Mr. O'Brien.
Christine thanked everyone for their kind remarks and wished them the very best for the future.
'When I'm down in Wicklow County Council I will keep an eye out for Bray!' she said.
